Bihar College of Pharmacy Organizes Successful Free Health Camp on World Diabetes Day and Children’s Day

On the occasion of World Diabetes Day and Children’s Day, and under the guidance of Chairman Dr. Prateek Soni and Administrative Officer Mr. Manoj Kumar, a free medical camp was successfully organized at Bihar College of Pharmacy, New Bailey Road, Patna, on 14 November 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The camp was chaired by the Principal of the institute, Dr. Mamta Dhingra. Esteemed faculty members of the institution, along with B. Pharm and D. Pharm students, participated enthusiastically and contributed significantly to the event.

During the hefree Blood Pressure (BP), Body Mass Index (BMI), and Blood Sugar testsalth camp, free Blood Pressure (BP), Body Mass Index (BMI), and Blood Sugar tests were conducted for the local community. Additionally, trained pharmacy students provided patients with health counselling, guidance on lifestyle modification, and important information on disease prevention and wellness.

More than 127 citizens availed the health check-up and counselling services, highlighting the usefulness and impact of the program.

Special contributions were made by Riya, Jia, Abhigyan, Beauty, Varsha, Durgesh, Nyansi, Lucky, Tiya, and Saksham. Their efforts in assisting patients, guiding visitors, and ensuring smooth coordination of the camp were highly commendable.

Principal Dr. Mamta Dhingra stated that the primary objective of this camp was to highlight the important role of the pharmacy profession in the healthcare system. She emphasized that pharmacists are not only medicine experts but also key pillars of primary healthcare services. Raising public awareness about the pharmacist’s role and providing the community with scientific and safe health services remained the central aim of the camp.

Chairman Dr. Prateek Soni and Administrative Officer Mr. Manoj Kumar also appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and encouraged such community-focused health initiatives in the future.
