Inauguration of National Pharmacy Week 2025

Day 1 – Inauguration of National Pharmacy Week 2025 Patna, 18 November 2025:

Bihar College of Pharmacy successfully inaugurated National Pharmacy Week (NPW) 2025 today at 10:30 AM in the college auditorium. The program began with the traditional Lamp Lighting ceremony by the Principal Dr. Mamta Dhingra, Administrative Officer Mr. Manoj Kumar, and faculty members, followed by a soulful Saraswati Vandana presented by B.Pharm 3rd Semester students, creating a graceful and auspicious beginning to the event.

In her motivating inaugural address, Principal Dr. Mamta Dhingra emphasized the importance of National Pharmacy Week and highlighted the evolving role of pharmacists in promoting community health and scientific awareness. She encouraged all students to take part in the 3 days long activities with enthusiasm and dedication.

Faculty coordinators briefed the gathering about the scheduled events—Sports, Academic, and Cultural—planned from 17th to 23rd November 2025, motivating students to showcase their talent, creativity, and leadership.

Day 2 of National Pharmacy Week 2025 Celebrated with CPR Training and Academic Competitions at Bihar College of Pharmacy  Patna, November 19, 2025:

Bihar College of Pharmacy celebrated Day 2 of the 64th National Pharmacy Week (NPW) 2025 with a meaningful blend of professional training and academic creativity. In collaboration with Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) Patna, the college conducted a hands-on CPR training session followed by three major academic competitions.

# Morning Session: Advanced Hands-on CPR Training in Collaboration with IGIMS, Patna

The day opened with an intensive Advanced Hands-on Training Programme on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) conducted by

Dr. Swati Singh, Additional Professor, Department of Anaesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine, IGIMS, Patna.

 She guided participants through:

  • High-quality chest compression techniques
  • Airway management & rescue breathing
  • Recognition of sudden cardiac arrest
  • AED use and emergency response sequence
  • Practical, real-time CPR demonstrations

She was accompanied by Dr. Muthu Vignesh, MD Anaesthesia, IGIMS, Patna, who provided a detailed explanation of the differences between Adult, Child, Infant, and Neonatal CPR, emphasizing age-specific technique modifications, compression depth, and ventilation requirements.

The Principal, Dr. Mamta Dhingra welcomed both experts and acknowledged IGIMS for its valued collaboration, noting the importance of CPR competency among pharmacy professional

Awareness Activities & Cultural Presentations by Students

Day 3 of the National Pharmacy Week (NPW) 2025 at Bihar College of Pharmacy unfolded with a perfect blend of awareness, creativity, scientific temper, and cultural expression by the students.


# Cultural Performances – Dance & Song

The day began with a refreshing cultural programme, where students presented a vibrant and energetic dance performance followed by a melodious group song. These performances added charm, enthusiasm, and youthful energy to the NPW celebrations, showcasing the artistic talents, confidence, and team spirit of the students

# Awareness Skit on Vaccination & Myth-Busting

Following the cultural activities, students presented an insightful and well-crafted awareness skit focusing on vaccination, public health, and clearing common myths associated with immunization.

Through relatable community scenarios, the students highlighted how misinformation creates fear, and they effectively presented accurate scientific explanations about vaccine safety, immunity, and the importance of timely vaccination.

The skit reflected their creativity, scientific understanding, and sense of social responsibility.

In her concluding remarks, the Principal appreciated the efforts of all the students and faculty members who contributed to the success of NPW. She extended a warm vote of thanks.
